Postural Alignment

A body out of balanced alignment begins to compensate with muscle tightness, decreased flexibility, and the onset of pain.

Poor posture and its related dysfunctions are the underlying reasons why pain occurs. Postural alignment therapy seeks out the root cause which eliminates the pain once and for all. Based on the principles of Egoscue Postural Therapy, the shoulders, hips, knees and ankles are designed to be in structural alignment. This is followed with individualized programs that realign the body to correct or prevent further damage and relieve pain.
Align-Activate-Perform
Our bare foot training sessions follow a 3 element approach:
ALIGN- The beginning of every training session focuses on optimizing postural alignment. A body that is optimally aligned is more functional and less prone to injury.
ACTIVATE- We activate the main segments of the body that are required for precise and powerful integrated movements. This includes training the most integral aspects of the core, the scapula-thoracic area and the feet. These exercises activate the body’s nervous system, stimulating muscles while correcting imbalances in movement.
PERFORM- With exercises performed on every plane of motion, training sessions then focus on movements that dynamically strengthen and integrate the entire body.
